Option 22 is a brilliant band composed of multi-talented artist. Their latest album, The Change, introduces listeners to a collection of songs that are not only a pleasure to listen to, but that contain important messages for us all! The album cover is calming and gives you a sense of the type of music that is on the album. One of the most interesting things about this album that really sets it apart from others, is it’s ability to entertain while still telling a story.
There is not one song on the album that won’t have you singing along and thinking about it’s message. The band is comprised of some very talented people. Lori McKinney is vocals and drums, Jordan Furrow is drums and guitar, Brandon Dunn is bass, keys and guitar, and Robert Blankenship is guitar, didgeridoo, shamisen, banjo, bass, and keys! With a band that talented, it’s no wonder The Change is such an inspiring album. The opening song on the album is Some Say, and we get the feeling that “many” will be saying that they love this album! One thing is for sure, The Change by Option 22 is a sure hit, and a favorite of everyone at Toast Pop!
Hark! The herald angels sing,
Glory to the newborn King!
Sleeping in Heavenly peace on a silent night
in oh little town of Bethlehem
He has come to bring joy to the world!
Mary, did you know that the child that you deliver
Will soon deliver you?
Holy infant, so tender and mild
God and sinner reconcile
Joyful all ye nations rise,
Join the triumph of the skies,
with angelic host proclaim,
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere,
That Jesus Christ is born.
These are the carols that we sing,
These tunes are more than just holiday rhymes,
They tell of God’s love divine
Frosty and Rudolph and snow days are nice,
But they cannot compare to God’s sacrifice.
He sent His Son, Jesus, for the world’s sin to die
And for the gift of eternal life even Santa can’t supply
Christmas trees are fine to see,
But I prefer what the angels sing:
Peace on Earth and the first Noel,
Good will to men from the King of Israel.
This, this is Christ the King, whom shepherds guard and angels sing!
Salvation from sin will come from this Heavenly being!
Fullness of God in a small child
So God and sinners reconcile
