On November 8, 2011 the long awaited Modern Warfare 3 is coming out for sales at many stores around the country. Being the third game in the Modern Warfare series it has a lot of hype, and expectation behind it. Some games don’t live up to that expectation but Infinity Ward never fails us. Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward are working on the game together in hopes that it will turn out great. Chart sells for the pre-orders of the game are around three million, which breaks a pre-ordering sell history.
The reviled locations in the game are United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Africa, India, Russia, and Czech Republic. The variety of areas you can visit in this game is wide and gives you a since of how the war is affecting the whole world. There is four main Act’s in Modern Warfare 3 and that is Black Tuesday, Mind the Gap, Hunter Killer, and Iron Lady. The Campaign isn’t very long though no Call of Duty game has a long story, it has an effective one. Price and “Soap”return to the third game of the series after being in both the original games.
The Multiplayer part of the game has some mixtures of Call of Duty 4, and Modern Warfare 2 but have some changes to it as well. There is 80 levels in prestige mode, new and removed perks, two new game types, there is 16 maps on the disc and there bringing back split screen multiplayer online. The two new game types are Kill Confirmed and Team Defender. Kill Confirmed is like Team Deathmatch and the objective of the game is to kill the enemy and collect his dog-tags. The objective of Team Defender is the team grabs a flag and the team defends the person who has the flag. The team holding the flag gets double points, the winner is the person with the most points at the end of the game.
Modern Warfare releases at sixty dollars and there is a midnight release at Gamestop at 12am. All true gamer’s will be attending this event and getting their copies first. Much sleep will be lost that night just be prepared for class.
