Free Cell Phone Service From Scratch Wireless

Free Cell Phone Service From Scratch WirelessIt’s no secret that cell phone companies take advantage of their customers by charging crazy prices for their phones and then when you get the phone you end up paying more than you should for service just so you can use it. Why are we being taken advantage of? That’s what got me thinking about other options in the cellular market, and it didn’t take me long to discover Scratch Wireless. This cellular provider offers something that made me question my sanity, FREE cell service with no strings attached!

Here’s how it works. First, you buy their Android Smartphone, the brilliant Motorola Photon Q. I was shocked by how nice the phone is. It sports an amazing color display, a pretty nice camera, a slide-out keyboard, and a ton of other features. I compared it to my iPhone’s interface, and found that I preferred the freshness of the Android operating system. After you have the phone, it takes about 5 minutes total to get things set up and running.

The cellular service works like this. Anytime you are around a wi-fi network, you connect to it and the cell phone uses the wireless network to make phone calls, send txt messages, and do things that require data. If you’re away from a wi-fi network then you can still send unlimited free txt messages, but if you want to make a call or use data you have the option to buy a pass. Passes are super affordable, starting at just $1.99 for a day pass, which gives you 30 minutes of talk time. You might just be surprised at how often you’re around a wireless signal though.

At home, at work, at college, at Starbucks, almost anywhere you go there is usually a wi-fi network that you can connect to. This is the ideal phone for anyone who wants to cut their wireless bill or even eliminate it completely! The entire idea operates flawlessly and I haven’t found anything to complain about. When you aren’t on wi-fi the phone will use the Sprint network for service, and even in the somewhat rural area where we are located, we had a nice signal to go off of.

One thing to note is that you currently cannot send MMS txt messages, so no pictures unless you use an app like Kik. When you look at all of the benefits of getting a Scratch Wireless phone, it really makes you wonder why you’ve been paying such a high cell phone bill all of these years. The phone is great, the service is spectacular, and we recommend it to anyone who doesn’t enjoy paying a fortune for cell service and prefers FREE over paid. FRAWG Unlimited Wireless To Get The iPhone

FRAWG Unlimited Wireless iPhoneWith E3 in the air, technology and technology rumors are at an all time high. Recently nTelos Wireless added the iPhone line to their roster, but word is, FRAWG is soon to follow. For those of you who don’t know, FRAWG is a prepaid plan for wireless customers that offers a full cell phone (usually cost more than a normal contract phone) at an amazing prepaid rate. That’s right, you pay for the month you use it. The suspected price for the iPhone is rumored to be quite a bit more than the $150 for an iPhone 4S you can get with a contract with nTelos, some say around $500 for the phone. Don’t get discouraged though, for an unlimited iPhone plan with FRAWG it is suspected to be around $55 a month. It’s not too hard to see why FRAWG would be getting the iPhone, they are in part a brand of nTelos Wireless. With time more news on this should become available.

Toast Pop Guy’s Favorites: Modern Black

Modern is a great look for anyone, and of course we all have our favorite things. It just so happens that I love modern things quite a bit. I like minimal and simplistic looks as well as items that contribute to the overall style of the modern look.

(1.) Sony Piiq Earbuds – Sony has developed a new line of earbuds by the name of Piiq that not only look great, have great sound, and offer neat functions not accompanied by most other earbuds, but they also have a wide variety of choices at a very affordable price. ($13 directly from Sony)

(2.) Blackberry Bold 9650 – I’m not necessarily suggesting that you go to your cell phone provider and switch your phone over for a Blackberry, you still have to have a phone that works for you and what you like (ex. keyboard, touch screen, camera, etc.), but do keep in mind that a good looking phone is half the battle most of the time. ($550 w/o contract)

(3.) Capsule Case Wallet – Capsule Case has been making a great alternative to the traditional wallet for quite some time now! Though I have trouble fitting cash in mine sometimes, it is perfect for credit and business cards. Keep looking classy and modern while saving the functions you need in a wallet. They offer many different colors in their line of modern wallets, but I like to keep it simple and so I went with a traditional black color. This wallet not only looks fantastic, but feels sleek and appropriately sized in your hands and pocket. ($15 varies by store)

(4.) Moleskine Sketchbook – If you’re like me, you love to sketch, but you hate carrying around a huge sketchbook with pages that smudge your wonderful works of art. Well, that’s where this little guy comes in handy. Moleskine makes my favorite line of books on the market, their paper is top of the line and does not smudge your work, especially when you use a sharpie pen (I love those!). They offer notebooks, planners, and many other types of books, as well as sizes, but you can’t go wrong with the medium sized Moleskine Sketchbook. ($15 varies by store)
